I am a freelance paralegal with 20 years of experience in commericial and personal injury litiation, property tax law, administrative law, and health law. I have extensive experience in handling civil lawsuits from service of process to appeals. I am proficient in discovery, from drafting and propounding written discovery requests, to scheduling and noticing depositions and depositions on written questions. I am skilled at drafting various pre-trial pleadings and motions, and have excellent writing skills that have proven to be cogent, cohesive and logical. I possess excellent organizational skills and am proficient at organizing and maintaining files for complex lawsuits. I am very conversant with the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure. I have excellent research skills, having received certificates from Westlaw, and am proficient at online legal research from other resources available on the internet, including but not limited to SEC filings and online court records from various local and federal jurisdictions. I am proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, with special emphasis in database development and administration via Access. I also have extensive office management experience and provided executive and adminstrative secretarial assistance prior to my paralegal career.
