5 USEFUL TIPS TO MANAGE YOUR CLIENTS AS FREELANCER

All freelancers have dream to get more client projects and to earn money by working in freelancing jobs. But handling more than one project simultaneously needs practice. When you look into freelancing jobs, you need to communicate with clients, build new client’s relationship, research about freelancer jobs, send reply mails to clients, completing the projects within deadline. If you are a fresher, you need to take care of all these essential things in freelancing. I hope this article would defiantly help you to achieve it successfully.

Here are few important tips to manage more clients and their work simultaneously.

Prepare schedule for each work:

Note down each project work you handle and schedule time for each. You can overlap similar kind of works to reduce time. For example, if you have 3 writing freelance jobs currently, two for business and one article writing work related to health. Then schedule time for writing business articles first. Thus you can complete two writing works together. Finally take enough time to research and complete the health related article. By this way your research time and article writing time gets reduced.

Have time to collaborate with clients:

Communication with clients on proper time is good to build business relationships. If a client sends mail enquiring projects, do send reply mail as soon as possible. Thus it makes them think you are active and involving yourself to complete the job successfully. If you get sick and need rest, mention it in email and say this is the reason to lose deadline.

If you are over-dumped, say “NO” to clients:

Working on more projects which is above your capability may lose your quality in doing works. You can say “NO” to clients when you are engaged in enough number of projects currently. Refuse it in polite manner without hurting clients. For instance, you are currently working in three freelancing jobs, which is maximum number of work you can handle at a time. When a new client approaches you offering job, say your situation clearly and also mention that you can take up the work, after completing these tasks. Or else you can offer best service in future.

Have a coffee break:

I have seen many freelancers who sit inside working room for hours together even without taking tea break. It can surely spoil your health and leads to stress or frustration. Try to take few minutes of break after completing each work. Your mind gets relaxed and makes you to work well. If you have missed any clients contact while taking break, you can contact them in working hours and deal business.

Stick with your timelines:

Completing the task within deadline is important. You get good reputation by submitting the report within deadline. You can get excuse for a day or two but don’t make it as practice in all freelancing jobs you do. If you fix any appointments to meet client, be on time in meeting. Because the delay in meeting may affect your career in freelancing.

Do follow these tips and get trained in managing clients in freelance work.
